At A Glance

Licensed House Sitters - our house sitters are all licensed by the SIA (Security Industry Authority), which is your assurance that they have been thoroughly vetted with a ten year work history, references and CRB checks, and trained to the highest standards. We are the only house sitting company to offer this.

Flexibility - you can choose whether the house sitter occupies your home while you are away, or they can stay in self-contained accommodation outside your home if you would prefer (subject to sufficient off road parking being available).

Easy to understand, transparent charging structure - our charges are based on a fixed weekly rate, which includes:  all setup fees, traveling expenses for the initial visit and travel to/from the assignment, care of up to two small domestic pets (e.g. cats or dogs) and VAT. The cost for all of this is as little as £2.80 per hour over a 24 hour period. We do not charge extra for food allowance (you are not expected to provide this) or a registration fee.

Simple booking or cancellation procedure - we recommend that you book more than one month in advance, to give plenty of time for the initial visit, so you can meet your house sitter. In the unlikely event that you do not get on with them, this gives us the option to select another house sitter, although expenses for that second visit would be chargeable at 40p (inc VAT) per mile, round trip. A £100 deposit is required to secure your booking, then you will be invoiced for the full assignment duration one month before the start date of the assignment, with the balance payable within 14 days of  invoice date. If you give us more than 7 days notice of cancellation (before assignment start date) you will get a full refund of all monies paid. Should you cancel more than 48 hours but less than 7 days before start of assignment, you will lose the £100 deposit but will be refunded any other monies paid. Cancellations at less than 48 hours notice before assignment start may attract higher charges, but these will be dealt with on a case by case basis in discussion with you, and will be dependent on the circumstances.

Versatility - Our house sitters can take care of minor household and garden maintenance within their ‘working’ hours, as well as looking after your pets. Obviously they will not be working 24 hours per day, because they would have to be paid minimum wage for every hour, but our charging structure allows for routine light household or garden duties to be carried out  (any required duties that are considered ‘extra’ would be chargeable at an agreed rate).
